The men’s basketball team is going above and beyond this season as it works towards the NJCAA Division 3 national tournament. The team is currently ranked first in the nation. The Golden Rams current record is 23-3. The team’s last game of the season is Feb. 25.
The team is well on it’s way to reaching nationals.
“We felt from the start of the season that we have a team that’s good enough to [win nationals] and our guys have been really good all throughout the season,” said Assistant Coach Rory Larson.
Last year the men’s basketball team was close to making nationals but fell short. This year Kevin Schramm, forward starter for the team, has his sights set higher.
“We’re trying to go to the top to be the number one in the nation,” said Schramm.
The Golden Rams last home game was Feb. 22 against Rochester Community and Technical College. The Golden Rams left with yet another victory.
“The goal is to keep winning.” said Edvonte Copeland, starting guard for the team.
If the men’s basketball team wins the regional tournament then its off to nationals.
