On Dec. 13 Anoka-Ramsey Coon Rapids campus held a student vs. faculty/staff basketball game in the Performance Gym. After a close and intense game, the faculty/staff team was able to take the win, 63-59.
Trung Ha was a very valuable player on the faculty side, scoring both the first four points of the game and also the last.
The game was very tight, the students never being more than a few points behind. There were many amazing 3-point shots, as well as some impressive dunks from the student side.
When asked about his team’s success Coach Jeff Pool says, “We play together every day at lunch, so we really know how to play well as a team and we know each other’s games.”
The student coach did not want to offer up a quote at the time, and the students were gone very quickly after the game.
Both sides played very well and had excellent effort. This event was a part of the Anoka-Ramsey Stress Relief Week. The students won last year’s match-up. The teams now sit at a 2-2 record.
