Since hip-hop artists like Kanye West came on the scene in the mid-2000s, men’s fashion has become more and more vibrant and flashy. Starting with West wearing things along the lines of bright pink polo shirts along with skirts, men’s fashion has taken new heights.
More recently, newcomers Young Thug and Jaden Smith have taken things even further by wearing women’s clothing, as well as modeling in women’s clothing ads for Calvin Klein and Louis Vuitton.
Popular pieces in men’s fashion recently have included long extended t-shirts with shorter length jackets over it as well as skinny jeans, showing similarities to women’s fashion.
Ripped shirts and bright colors for men have become more and more of a sight as well as designer bags similar to small purses. Multiple rappers coming up within the last year have displayed these new fashion trends, influencing many of their younger followers to follow their lead and experiment on their own.
As we see an increase in these fashion trends among young men, their fashion will show more experimentation and ingenuity than ever before.
