Rams Wrap Up Season Nationally Ranked

The Rams Women’s Softball team is coming off a Sweep of Ridgewater Community College to finish off the season strong.
They were led by the strong pitching of Kaylee Lofboom in the opening set of the doubleheader. She pitched all 5 innings, giving up only four hits, two ER, and striking out ten. She gave up two early runs, but then settled down to not let the Warriors get back on the board.
The Rams won this game handily 10-2 and Lofboom improved to 16-9 on the season.
In the last game of the doubleheader, Bailey Cole picked up the win. She improved to 2-3 and only gave up two hits over the four quality innings pitched. The Rams banged out ten hits and won 9-1.
The Rams finished the season strong, going 14-6 over their final 20 games. They have garnered national recognition for being ranked 9th nationally by the NJCAA. They finished the year 19-18.
Jen Zidar, the catcher for Anoka-Ramsey, got Second Team All-American. In 117 at-bats, she only struck out five times. She also added 3 HR and 61 RBIS while batting .530.
Earlier in the season, Kaylee Lofboom picked up Pitcher of the Week honors during the week of April 4-9. She went 3-0, pitched 25 innings, and had an astounding 21 strikeouts.
